From the Association ~ President Walt D’Alessandris

Hope it warms up a bit! (Who said that?)

Let’s all pray that we will have a quiet hurricane season again this year.

Kudos to the Summer Committee on the great job on the “Mother’s Day Brunch.”

Laurie Reed has submitted a letter of resignation as Pickle Ball/Tennis chairperson. Many thanks to Laurie for doing a job that wasn’t easy.

Pat Colley has stepped up and has taken the Pickleball/Tennis chair and that is greatly appreciated. “Thank you, Pat, and good luck!”

As always, remember to do something nice for your neighbor.

Message from Maureen ~ Park Manager Maureen Stephens

Hope everyone is taking advantage of the “quietness” and relaxing at the Clubhouse and Pool area. A lot is planned, so please get involved. As you may have noticed, we are taking this opportunity to tackle some big projects. Gary and Michael have been busy working on the entrance walls and gate-house, and we will have lots of flowers planted there and at the Clubhouse.

A few people have been ignoring our regulations about signs in their yard. None are allowed. Please remove advertising by contractors who have worked on your home and all political signs (this is not a reflection on anyone's political views). Signs can get out of hand, if allowed. Thank you. We have had a few things (glasses, a phone, keys) that have been found around the Park. Please check with us.

Enjoy… See you around the Park!

Benevolences ~ Betty Replogle

Former residents Sue Lehman and Audrey Mossman have passed away.

A “get well” card was sent to Helen Allen.

Coffee Tyme ~ Rachel, Betty & Helen

We had 23 people come for coffee, and to see the nurses on May 6, BUT ONLY 15 had signed up... So, please, please, sign up on the Clubhouse Bulletin Board — the sheet is on the wall, please look for it… it IS THERE! We want to have enough donuts when we get together on June 3rd.

DON'T FORGET — Summertime Coffee is ONLY the FIRST Friday of the month, when the nurses are here. So stay well, and we hope to see you on June 3rd.

JULIET’s Luncheon ~ Glenda Gibson

Seventeen ladies were in attendance at the JULIET’s Luncheon at “Ruby Tuesday’s on May 12th.

Glenda Gibson expressed appreciation to Kathy Nowacki and Judy Chidester, who helped her with the arrangements for the luncheon. Glenda has stepped up to take on coordinating the JULIET’s Ladies’ Luncheons for the summer.

The group enjoyed playing a game, “Card Bingo,” which provided three of our ladies as winners: Sharon Hoffman, Betty Replogle, and Cheryl Wilson. First prize-winner, Sharon Hoffman, won a nice $15 gift certificate for payment on a complete dinner at “Ruby Tuesday’s.”

Please remember to sign-up on the Bulletin Board for the June 9th Luncheon, which will be at the “Sebring Diner,” at 12 Noon. Please call if you need a ride, or be at the Clubhouse at 11:30.

ROMEO’s ~ John Arata

Our skit also was enjoyed by all, and I must thank our actors Don Nowacki, Sandy Taylor, and Charlie Giambalvo. Thanks to everyone who made the Memorial Day picnic a success. Many hands make for “lighter work.” Your assistance was greatly appreciated. I hope everyone who attended enjoyed their time visiting with friends and neighbors. Each year when we “remember” those who are no longer with us, it gives us pause to think of our blessings of having had them in our lives. Please have a safe and happy summer.

Note from the Editor ~ Barb Gephart

I will be preparing the July issue while traveling, and will send the file to the Printer. I am grateful to Neil Knutson for picking up the “Bits” from the printer, and taking them to Sharon LaPenna, who will disperse them to our Deliverers. Our Summer Deliverers will be doing their usual kind service by bringing your paper to your door. I greatly appreciate their help, and I’m sure all our residents feel the same. Thanks to you all, for handling this for me in my absence.

They Hatched!

For those who were watching the nest before leaving to go north, the eggs hatched. A resident saw the mother going up the street toward the pond with several ducklings waddling behind.
