How are ya likin’ the HEAT?????
Another typical summer in sunny Florida! (Remind yourself you won’t be shoveling snow next winter…)
If you are one of our faithful people who deliver the “Bits” to our residents, and plan to be away near the end of any month, please let me know, or perhaps ask someone to “fill-in” for you while you are away.
We are hoping again to be traveling west in September, and if it happens, then various people will be helping to see that you receive your “Bits” as usual. I’ll be preparing the paper while traveling, and there should be no interruption in service.
Message from Maureen ~ Park Manager Maureen Stephens
We see lots of new faces in the Park. Once you are here, you are one of us. So, join in and have a good time.
All the new siding jobs look great. There are still a few more openings for this great offer. Park owners will pay 50% of the cost up to $2,500... the best deal in town! Come to the office to get in it.
It's time to get out those power washers again. The North sides of homes are suddenly green again. Rain, humidity, and heat will do it. Weeds have taken off in the past two weeks. Let's keep up the good work.
We had a great turnout for the Rickert Properties Pool Party. Thank you, Barbara. Thank you, Gary for cooking. You are a real trooper.
Thanks. Enjoy this last month of summer.
See you around the Park!
Benevolences ~ Betty Replogle
Our sympathies to Alma (Bunny) Flandermeyer on the passing of her husband, Ron.
Resident Helen Allen has also passed away.
I want to thank all the friends and neighbors who supported me with prayers and cards during the passing of my husband, Clare. I am settling in now as a full-time resident in the Park. Again, many thanks to all of you.
Karen Bente Chambers
Coffee Tyme ~ Rachel, Betty & Helen
Our faithful nurses will not be returning to service us this fall, due to job changes.
We were quite concerned that we would need to ask among the residents if there were any nurses who would be able to help out. HOWEVER, thankfully, Haven Home Health will graciously be providing new nurses when have our first Coffee Tyme in October.
Hope to see you in October! Rachel

Summer Activities ~ Sue Cronin, Director
Summer is surely moving along. We have already enjoyed many fun-filled activities, with more to come.
In July, we enjoyed a really great 4th of July Celebration, which was coordinated by Glenda Gibson and Kathy Nowacki. They surely did a fantastic job. A big “THANKS!”goes out to all who helped to make the day so special.
We also enjoyed was a beautiful “Luau,” that was coordinated by Sandy Taylor. The decorations were just outstanding and so original. The “Hawaiian Chicken” was ‘to die for!’ Wow!, can Laney Powers ever serve up a feast? I have to add that it was the best chicken I have ever eaten. We must never forget that each event takes numerous people to make it happen. So, “thank you,” Judy Chidester, for all your tireless help in setting and cleaning up. You rock, girlfriend! Also, “thank you” to Norma Brown, Chris Eisenhauer, Don Nowacki, Suellen Jones, Leslie Maschue, Randy Johnson, and all you other men who helped with the tables and chairs – now, that is a job I really appreciate all pitching in to help. Sandy, you did an outstanding job!
Monday, September 5th ~
